Albert Einstein Birthday

Albert Einstein was born in the German Empire’s Kingdom of Württemberg. Maria Einstein, his younger sister, was born in 1881. Albert Einstein was the eldest of two children. His father, Herman Einstein, was a salesman and engineer, and his mother, Pauline Koch, was Jewish. One year prior to Einstein’s birth, his family relocated to Munich. There, he attended a Catholic elementary school at age five. His primary and secondary education were completed at Luitpold Gymnasium, which is now known as the Albert Einstein Gymnasium. When Albert Einstein was 15 years old, his family’s business failed, so they relocated to Italy. Einstein was intended to remain behind to complete his studies, but he moved to Italy with them instead.

In Italy in 1894, the young savant began writing his first of approximately three hundred hundred papers throughout his lifetime. “On the Investigation of the State of the Ether in a Magnetic Field” was the title of the brief essay. In Switzerland between 1895 and 1896, he completed secondary education. In 1996 Einstein renounced his German citizenship with the hope of avoiding being called to conduct military service. In the same year, at age 17, he enrolled in a four-year program to become a mathematics and physics instructor. Einstein obtained his diploma in 1900. Even though he had exceptional grades, he was unable to secure a teaching position. He ultimately became an assistant examiner for the Swiss Patent Office. In the years that followed, Einstein held several lecturing and teaching positions at various prestigious universities. Einstein published an article titled “On the Electrodynamics of Moving Bodies” in 1905; the theory contained in that article is now known as Einstein’s special theory of relativity. The formula devised in that paper — E = mc2 — is one of the most well-known equations in the world. In 1915, ten years later, the physicist published ‘The General Theory of Relativity,’ permanently altering our conception of the universe. Albert received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921 for his contributions to the advancement of quantum physics.

Einstein was twice married and father to three children. In 1903, he wed his physicist colleague Mileva Mari, and the couple had three children: Lieserl, Hans Albert, and Eduard. Einstein’s affair with his relative Elsa Lowenthal began in 1912. They were wed in 1919.
