Arshad Wars Early Life

Warsi was born in Mumbai to a Muslim family. His father, Ahmed Ali Khan (Ashiq Hussain), was a musician in Hindi films and took the name Warsi after becoming a devotee of the Sufi saint Waris Ali Shah. Due to his father’s first marriage to actress Ranjana Sachdev, Arshad is the half-brother of vocalist Anwar Hussain and actress Asha Sachdev.
