After being released from prison in 2006, he began working on his third studio album, “B.A.R.S: The Barry Adrian Reese Story”, which was released in 2007. In 2009, Reese departed “Full Surface” and joined “Kross Over Entertainment.” Under this label, he released a series of mixtapes in 2010 as well as his fourth studio album, “C.A.S.H: Cass a Straight Hustla.” Unfortunately, the endeavour performed worse than any of his previous studio albums, selling just 5,200 copies in its first week of release.
