Early years
Bhagat was raised in a traditional Hindu Punjabi family. His father was an Indian Army lieutenant colonel, and his mother was a scientist at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi. In 1998, Chetan Bhagat earned a master’s degree in business administration and was hired by Peregrine Investments Holdings in Canada.
