In the 2011 Green-White spring football game, Green played tight end and was in for two plays while practicing with the Michigan State Spartans football team when he was an undergraduate student. Green graduated from Michigan State University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in communication.

Green moved into an apartment in Emeryville, California, during the summer of 2012. NBA Career

The Golden State Warriors chose Draymond Green as the 35th overall choice in the 2012 NBA Draft. Green started to see increased playing time after agreeing to a seven-figure contract with the Warriors. As other players sustained injuries, Draymond’s moment to shine arrived. He was playing 20 minutes a game on average by the end of the season.

By the end of the season, Green was starting games for Golden State as a result of his increasing involvement, which was associated with improved team performance.

Green began 2013 with noticeably stronger performances, particularly in terms of three-point shooting and defense, after dropping a few pounds over the off-season.

After fouling Blake Griffin in a game late in 2013, Green was dismissed from the competition and fined $15,000 for “not leaving the court in a timely manner.” He set several career-high records at the end of the season and received accolades for his strong defense.

Following David Lee’s injury during the 2014–2015 campaign, Green was formally elevated to the starting lineup. That season, the Warriors got off to a rocky start, but as Green became more and more critical to the group’s dynamic, they went on a 16-game winning streak.

As a result of his outstanding play, Draymond finished the season as the runner-up for the Defensive Player of the Year and Most Improved Player awards. That year, the Warriors also took home the NBA Championship.
