Feroz Khan Biography: Feroz Khan Biography: Feroz Khan, whose birth name was Zulfiqar Ali Shah Khan, was an Indian actor, film editor, producer, and director best known for his contributions to Hindi cinema. Over the course of his career, he appeared in over sixty films and became one of Bollywood’s most recognisable fashion symbols.
Khan is best known for his roles in Aurat (1967), Safar (1970), Mela (1971), Upaasna (1971), Apradh (1972), Khotte Sikkay (1974), Kala Sona (1975), Dharmastma (1975), and Qurbani (1980). Early Life
Feroz Khan was born in Bangalore, India on September 25, 1939, to “Sadiq Ali Khan Tanoli” – an Afghan from Ghazni, Afghanistan, and his mother Fatima, who had Persian ancestry from Iran.
Khan attended Bishop Cotton Boys’ School and Bangalore’s St. Germain High School. His brothers are Shah Abbas Khan (Sanjay Khan), Shahrukh Shah Ali Khan, Sameer Khan and Akbar Khan. His sisters are Khurshid Shahnavar and Dilshad Bibi, also known as Dilshad Begum Sheikh.
After completing his education in Bangalore, he moved to Bombay (present-day Mumbai) in 1960. Where he made his acting début in the supporting role of Didi.

Feroz Khan Career
Khan produced Tarzan Goes to India (1962), Oonche Log (1965), Arzoo (1969), Upaasna (1967), Mela (1971), and Nagin (1976) among other low-budget thrillers in the early 1960s and 1970s. With the film Aadmi Aur Insaan (1969), he garnered his first Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor. He also appeared in the successful motion pictures Upaasna (1967), Mela (1971), and Nagin (1976). He became a successful producer and director in 1971 with his first directorial film, Apradh. That was the first Indian film to depict auto racing in Germany. Feroz produced, directed, and starred in the 1975 film Dharmatma. Which was the first Indian film to be shot in Afghanistan and his first blockbuster success as a producer, director, and actor.
1974’s Bhagat Dhanna Jat was another Punjabi film in which he starred. Khan produced, directed, and starred in the 1980 film Qurbani. Which was the greatest success of his career and launched the singing career of Pakistani music icon Nazia Hassan. He directed and starred in the box-office success Janbaaz in 1986. Feroz directed and starred in the 1988 film Dayavan, and he starred in the 1991 film Meet Mere Man Ke. He took an 11-year break from performing after directing and starring in the 1992 film Yalgaar.
He initiated his son Fardeen Khan’s career in 1998 with the box office bomb Prem Aggan. In 2003, he produced, directed, and starred in the film Janasheen with his son Farasheen. He co-starred with his son once more in the 2005 film Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena and made his final film appearance in the 2007 comedy Welcome.
Personal Life
1965 saw the union of Feroz Khan and Sundari Khan, and 1985 saw their separation.
Laila Khan (born in 1970) and Fardeen Khan (born in 1974) are their two offspring. Natasha Madhwani, the daughter of the late Bollywood actress Mumtaz, is Fardeen’s wife. Mumtaz stated in an interview that Feroz Khan was the most attractive leading man in Hindi films.
Feroz Khan Death
On April 27, 2009, at age 69, Feroz Khan succumbed to lung cancer. He was undergoing treatment at the Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai, but he expressed a desire to visit his Bangalore farm. As a result, he was brought here, where he passed away around 1 a.m.
He was interred at Hosur Road Shia Kabristan in Bangalore, close to the tomb of his mother.
