Josie Nicole Stephens Biography: Josie Nicole Stephens, age 28, was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, but currently resides in Fallon, Nevada. She was born into a family of oil field workers, but she is the only woman and one of only three percent of women in her profession! As a Shell offshore oil and gas platform chemical account manager, she works closely with the Environmental Protection Agency to ensure pure production. Her objective is to encourage women to enter STEM and male-dominated fields.
Josie holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering as well as concentrations in mathematics, chemistry, and bioprocessing engineering. Josie Stephens, Miss Sun Valley, was crowned Miss Nevada USA 2023 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on June 25. She defeated sixteen competitors to capture the state crown and will now prepare to represent Nevada at Miss USA 2023.
The first runner-up was Arianna Siefert from Valley of Fire, followed by Alexis Smith from Summerlin, Emily Delgado from Henderson, and Tylar Bester from Battleborn.
Emily Cox of Silver State was crowned Miss Nevada Teen USA 2023 and will now compete in the Miss Teen USA 2023 pageant at an undetermined date.

The new Miss Nevada USA is no novice to pageants, having competed in Miss Louisiana USA for years and coming so close (first runner-up) in three consecutive years.
“I will compete for Miss USA. “A dream I’ve had for nine years has finally come true,” Josie wrote on social media after winning Sunday’s contest. Summer Keffeler and Janae McIntosh crowned their respective successors at the conclusion of the competition.
