JAC Exam 2023: Syllabus for both the term exams of JCERT 8th to 12th class decided

JCERT has sent the syllabus of both the term to Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on Thursday. JACK will now take action from issuing model papers to preparing exam papers and taking exams.

JAC Exam 2023: The Jharkhand government has started preparing to take the 8th to 12th board exams. Jharkhand Council of Educational Research and Training (JCERT) has prepared the syllabus for both the term. The first term examination will be held in November-December, while the second term annual examination will be held in March-April 2023.

JCERT has sent the syllabus of both the term to Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on Thursday. JACK will now take action from issuing model papers to preparing exam papers and taking exams. The first term will have objective type questions. Students will have to solve the question papers on the OMR sheet. For this, they will also be given four options for each question. At the same time, subjective questions will be asked in the second term examination. Half the questions will be asked in both the term. Questions from the prescribed syllabus of the first term will not be asked in the second term. The question paper of 100 marks in any paper other than Science-Commerce will have objective questions in the first term of 40 marks and subjective questions in the second term of 40 marks. 10-10 marks in both the term will be given on the basis of assessment in the school. The academic session of 2022-23 has started in Jharkhand from July 2. At the same time, the annual examinations of ninth-11th were taken till July 14. And its result has come in the last week of August.

However, the concerned students are studying for the next class for the last one and a half months. Now their first term exam will be held in November-December after Dussehra, Deepawali-Chhath Puja.

Three to five model papers will be issued

Jharkhand Academic Council will release the model question paper for the 10th and 12th examination in five sets each. At the same time, model question papers will be issued in three sets of 8th, 9th and 11th. Questions will be asked in the exam on the basis of model question paper. After two years, the entire syllabus is being taught in schools. In the case of schools being closed due to Kovid, the syllabus was cut by 40 percent in 2020 and 25 percent in 20021.

Changed pattern from 2022 exam

The pattern of examination from class VIII to XII held in 2022 has been changed. Due to Kovid, the JACK board is also taking the exam on the lines of CBSE. Earlier, three months, six months and CENTP examinations were conducted at the school level. After this the board used to take the annual examination directly, but now the examinations are being held in two terms. There will be first term examination based on half syllabus and second term examination based on half syllabus.
