Landslide Mitigation: On December 2, the Geotechnical Engineering Section of the Department of Civil Engineering (ZHCET) at AMU conducted a One Day Workshop on Landslip Hazard Mitigation in response to the increasing number of landslip accidents. With case studies from Italy, Malaysia, and India, the workshop covered a wide range of topics related to the increase in landslides and tunnel collapses.
While Mr Jibran Qadri from the University Degli, Italy, concentrated on geospatial analysis in landslip mitigation, Mr Mudassir Ali Khan from the University Technology Petronas, Malaysia, conducted discussions on debris modelling.
