Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 PS5: Bandai Namco revealed the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 PS5 and Xbox Series X|S release date, and it won’t be here soon.
As stated in a message on the official Bandai Namco X (formerly Twitter) account, May 24th will see the release of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on modern gaming systems.

If you already possess the game on a previous generation platform, you can use Smart Delivery to play it on an Xbox Series X|S, upgrade from the PS4 version, and transfer your save data.
What new and improved features Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will have when it launches on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S is yet unknown.

Although it hasn’t been officially verified yet, the announcement page linked above seems to indicate rather clearly that the upgrade will be free for current owners.
However, Bandai Namco promises to give comprehensive instructions “at a later date” for updating the game and moving your save data, so we should soon learn more about the upcoming releases.
