Hero MotoCorp Launches 2024: At a competitive price of Rs. 1.15 lakh, Hero MotoCorp has reintroduced the Vida V1 Plus eScooter, a commuter scooter designed for environmentally conscious individuals seeking an affordable option.
To strengthen its position in the rapidly expanding electric scooter industry, Hero MotoCorp has formally introduced the Vida V1 Plus 2024 in India. By strategically positioning this electric scooter, it establishes itself as a formidable competitor to notable rivals, including the Ather 450S, Bajaj Chetak, and Ola S1 Air.
Hero MotoCorp faced numerous obstacles before the triumphant debut of their electric vehicle, which they marketed under the unique Vida sub-brand. The Vida V1 Plus’s initial pricing was subject to criticism, which subsequently led to a revision. In response, Hero introduced the Vida V1 Pro the previous year at a more affordable effective price of Rs. 1.4 lakh, which incorporated central subsidies. Nevertheless, the Vida V1 Plus was removed from shelves temporarily.
In 2024, Hero MotoCorp reintroduced the Vida V1 Plus, which it offers at an appealing price of Rs. 1.15 lakh, which includes a portable charger and the FAME II central subsidy. This reestablishment establishes the Vida V1 Plus as a compelling alternative, particularly in light of its reduced price in comparison to the Vida V1 Pro, which stands at a higher price of Rs. 30,000 for its highest configuration.

State administrations throughout India are providing supplementary subsidies to promote the adoption of electric mobility. As an illustration, the Vida V1 Plus is available to Delhi residents for an effective price of Rs. 97,800, which is less than Rs. 1 lakh. The action aims to alleviate the financial strain on purchasers, thereby accelerating the adoption of environmentally friendly modes of transportation.
Numerous similarities exist between the Vida V1 Plus and its more expensive sibling, the Vida V1 Pro. Both scooters share similar styling elements, seating ergonomics, and a 7-inch touchscreen dashboard. Furthermore, each of these vehicles has a 6 kW electric motor and a top speed of 80 km/h.
The V1 Plus and V1 Pro are differentiated based on specific qualities. With its larger 3.94 kWh battery, the V1 Pro can travel an additional 110 kilometers on a single charge. The V1 Plus comes equipped with a slightly reduced 3.44 kWh battery that offers an impressive range of 100 km.
The 2024 Hero Vida V1 Plus, which is currently on sale for Rs. 30,000, positions itself as an affordable and environmentally friendly mode of transportation, appealing to a wider demographic and supporting the rising popularity of electric vehicles in the Indian market.
