Roiland’s attorney T. Edward Welbourn stated in response to the allegations:
To be explicit, not only is Justin innocent but we also have every expectation that this matter is on course to be dismissed once the district attorney’s office has completed its methodical review of the evidence.
Beginning with the seventh season, Roiland’s roles will be recast. In the meantime, the program continues, and we have no doubt that the enormous team behind it will ensure that season seven maintains the series’ high quality.
