Tell Me Lies Season 2: Thank goodness, Tell Me Lies is coming back for a second season. Viewers will definitely be checking in for the next chapter following an incredible cliffhanger ending.
We are here to give all of the information we currently know, including the release date and cast expectations.
Now let’s get started!
The characters Stephen, Lucy, and Diana are involved in a dysfunctional love triangle, which is the subject of the Hulu original series.
Tell Me Lies Season 2, which stars Emma Roberts, Karah Preiss, Laura Lewis, Shannon Gibson, and Meaghan Oppenheimer as executive producer and showrunner, is guaranteed to be just as captivating as Season 1.
It is based on Carola Lovering’s novel Tell Me Lies, and Lovering is a consultant producer for the show.
The story of a group of friends who met in the fictional upstate New York school Baird College is told in the sultry coming-of-age series. What’s more, it chronicles the events of an apocalyptic romance spanning eight years.
When Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco first started dating, no one in their immediate circle could have predicted how the poisonous relationship that resulted in deceit, heartache, and lies would irrevocably alter their lives.

Has the Lie to Me Been Renewing?
Yes, a second season of the romance drama has been approved. A month after the premiere of the first season, Hulu announced the renewal.
The program ran on Hulu from September to October of 2022.
How Did Season One of Tell Me Lies End?
The real reason behind Macy’s passing is revealed in the conclusion. An prior episode disclosed that Stephen and Macy had a summer romance. But Stephen wanted to keep this a secret to avoid running afoul of his ex-girlfriend Diana.
One evening, when Lucy doesn’t feel like going out, roommate Macy goes to the party by herself and contacts Stephen to go along. When they decide to head home, neither of them is really fond of driving, but Stephen takes the chance and grabs the keys.
The character’s tendency toward conceit is supported by the surprising discovery that Stephen was the one driving when the car crashed. We witness Stephen taking his eyes off the road during a fight with Drew, forcing him to swerve to avoid hitting him.
Sadly, Macy is killed in the collision when Stephen strikes a tree because the passenger-side seat belt is broken. After that, Stephen removes all traces of their relationship from Macy’s phone, places her body under the driver’s seat, and leaves her to be discovered by the police.
While Stephen clearly struggles on TV, he has no trouble letting Drew take the blame for the crash.
Lucy is also led to believe that Drew caused the collision and that Stephen was in the passenger seat at the time and left only out of fear for his safety when the police discovered he was there and had consumed alcohol.
Lucy anonymously writes a letter to the college’s dean in an attempt to ‘defend’ Stephen. Drew believes Stephen had to be the one behind the letter after being brought into the Dean’s office, but Stephen informs him that his older brother Wrigley told his girlfriend Pippa.
Wringley gets put on the hot seat after that, gets into a fight with Drew, and gets hurt when he falls off a balcony. This prevents him from playing quarterback for the football team his senior year.
Stephen breaks up with Pippa because he believes she is the letter’s author, even though it is clear that Lucy is the real author.
Lucy lies to a different student, claiming that she and Stephen were together the night of the accident, in yet another attempt to ‘protect’ Stephen. Diana informs Stephen of this falsehood, which infuriates him but also makes him realize how easily it can be refuted.
After all of this, the Dean lets Drew off the hook, meaning Lucy’s letter accomplished nothing more than to damage Wrigley’s football career and cause physical harm to him in addition to piscating Pippa and Wrigley.
Susuk: Release Date, Ending Explained, and Where to Watch?
Then, when Diana and Stephen emerge from the end-of-semester Hawaiian celebration together, we can see that Diana has won Stephen back.
Lucy is devastated by this, wondering where he is downstairs. She ends up drinking excessively and having sex with Evan, her friend Bree’s boyfriend.
After eight years, we attend Lucy and Evan’s engagement celebration, which feels different for the audience now that they are aware of the past events between Lucy and Evan.
The much-awaited arrival of Stephen reveals yet another startling turn of events. Now, Stephen and Lydia, Lucy’s closest home friend, are engaged!
Cast of Tell Me Lies Season 2
Grace Van Patten played Lucy, Jackson White played Stephen, Sonia Mena played Pippa, Branden Cook played Evan, Benjamin Wadsworth played Drew, and Alicia Crowder played Diana in Season 1. We anticipate that everyone will return.
Lily McInerny played Macy, even though she died early. Katey Sagal portrays Stephen’s emotionally manipulative and borderline narcissistic mother, Norah, while Jessica Capshaw plays Lucy’s mother, CJ Albright.
Edmund Donovan, who portrays Max, and Natalee Linez, who plays Lydia, should both be featured more.
Cast Additions for Tell Me Lies Season 2
Tom Ellis, Oppeheimer’s husband, will be added for Season 2, along with Thomas Doherty, who will portray a new college student who gets entangled in Lucy and Stephen’s volatile off-again, on-again relationship, according to an Instagram post made by the program in January 2024, as reported by US Weekly.
Plot of Tell Me Lies Season 2
In November 2022, Oppenheimer disclosed to TheWrap that Season 2 might have flashbacks from the point in the program where the protagonists were in college, as well as more of their adult lives, starting with the engagement celebration.
She also mentioned that people would like to see more of Bree, therefore she suggested that in future episodes, there might be a greater emphasis on side characters, particularly Diana and Bree.
Tokyo Vice Season 2: Release Date, Plotline and Trailer
We’re hoping to learn more about the history of Stephen and Lydia’s encounter, the reason behind the breakup of Stephen and Diana, Drew’s fate, and Lucy’s method of learning about the relationship between her former lover and best friend from school.
Furthermore, when Lucy attempted to woo Stephen back from Diana, she largely performed even more reprehensible things.
What is the release date for Tell Me Lies Season 2?
Sadly, there isn’t a scheduled release date for Season 2. The WGA and SAG strike caused a delay in its release, which was originally scheduled for November 2023 but was confirmed in November 2022 instead.
January 2024 saw the start of filming, and a fall premiere date seems reasonable.
Where Can I Watch Season 2 of Tell Me Lies?
The series is available on the streaming service since it is a Hulu original.
The quantity of episodes has been formally confirmed. Still, it’s a good bet to suggest that there need to be ten, in keeping with Season 1’s structure.
