Keeshea Pratt is the featured vixen on the microphone with Mississippi-inspired, soulful lead vocals. She is backed by a talented, diverse group of vocalists and musicians from five states (Texas, California, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi) and Japan. The four-piece horn section generates rhythms that are comparable to those of big bands. Kiana Smith (Bassist and Vocals), Brian Sowell (Lead Guitar and Vocals), Eugene Botts (Keys and B3 Organ), Dan Carpenter (Saxophone), Brent Nabors (Baritone Saxophone), Misaki Nishidate (Trumpet), James Williams III (Trumpet), and Adrew Acuna (Drums) are the members of this phenomenal band.
The Keeshea Pratt Band won the Band Division of the 34th Annual International Blues Challenge, held in Memphis, Tennessee, in January 2018. The refined professional soul-stirring toe-tapping performances convinced the judges that KPB was ready to headline major festivals and concert stages as a notable authority on the blues scene on a national and international scale. Since that time, they have traveled the country performing on some of the largest festival stages while “Keeping The Blues Alive”.

As reported by the Houston Press, Pratt led her ensemble to greater heights in 2018 when they represented Houston in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis and “took the blues music world by storm.” Pratt’s victory was the first in Houston’s history, garnering her the well-deserved title of “the new queen of the blues!”
