Season 2 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon and Dead City
Friday at San Diego Comic-Con, AMC announced several Walking Dead-related details. The previously untitled spinoff starring Danai Gurira and Andrew Lincoln is now known as The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.
AMC has renewed for Season 2 the Walking Dead spinoffs Dead City and Daryl Dixon. The first season of Dead City concludes on Sunday, and Daryl Dixon will make his début on September 10.
No writing work will be performed on either season until the Writers Guild of America strike concludes. The writers went on strike on May 1 after contract negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers stalled.
The series’ cast members were unable to attend the Comic-Con panel due to the Screen Actors Guild strike. In the film Dead City, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan portray Negan and Maggie, respectively. They venture out through a zombie-infested New York City to rescue Maggie’s son.
Daryl Dixon discovers Daryl in France without any recollection of how he arrived there, and Norman Reedus resumes his role. Reedus starred in all 11 seasons of The Walking Dead. In Season 6, Morgan joined the ensemble.
Cohan first appeared on the programme in Season 2, departed in Season 9, and returned late in Season 10. Lincoln portrayed Rick Grimes from Season 1 to Episode 5 of Season 9 (a total of nine seasons). For the series’ conclusion, he returned. Gurira made her début in Season 3 and remained until Episode 13 of Season 10. She also returned for the conclusion.
