The first official Batman Day occurred on July 23, 2014, to coincide with Comic-Con International in San Diego that same year. At Comic-Con, the hero’s 75th anniversary was commemorated by the sale of Batman merchandise from four distinct eras of his career. From traditional to contemporary design.

2015 saw the distribution of Batman-themed publications and merchandise for Batman Day. It was discovered that the humanistic element contributed to the popularity of this day compared to other characters such as Wonder Woman and Superman.
