The background of National Freezer Pop Day

A freezer pop is a chilled, flavoured, water-based mixture. They are also referred to as freeze pops or freezies. In some respects, it resembles an ice drink. It consists primarily of water and is sweetened with sugar. The mixture is coloured and flavoured before being packaged in a plastic tube or casing and sold. Freezies do not require freezing prior to sale, unlike popsicles. This facilitates production and transport. Therefore, the price is less than that of traditional ice pops. Freezes are sold in various flavours throughout the globe, including orange, lime, grape, banana, and mango, among others. They also come in hues that correspond to their flavour.

Freezepop, freezer pop, ice pole, icy pole, sip up, ice treat, etc., are a few of the many names for freezies around the globe. Frank Epperson is widely credited with inventing the popsicle, or at least the original iteration. In 1905, he accomplished this in San Francisco Bay as a child. The invention occurred by accident. The mixture of saccharine soda powder and water was left overnight. He discovered in the morning that it had frozen into a delectable delight to lick.
