According to his station, Bernard McGuirk passed away following a battle with prostate cancer. The station reported that McGuirk, who co-hosted WABC’s “Bernie & Sid in the Morning” with Sid Rosenberg, passed away on Wednesday night at a local hospital surrounded by family.

Last year, McGuirk disclosed that he had cancer. His fans showed their support for him on social media. He posted a photo of himself in December 2021 while still in the hospital, advising everyone to have prostate and colonoscopy examinations.

Additionally, he cautioned everyone from making the same mistakes he did because the results can be considerably worse. McGuirk had received chemotherapy for a considerable amount of time. He was diagnosed with cancer, but he didn’t stop working and loving what he did.

Bernard McGuirk’s Life

Born in the South Bronx, New York, on October 26, 1957, McGuirk was a cab driver in the past. After graduating from the College of Mount Saint Vincent in 1984, McGuirk worked in New York City for WFAN Radio until 2007. By then, the public had been enjoying Imus in the Morning Show for eleven years, and Bernie was elevated to executive producer. The show ran on Fox Business Network until 2015.

Sid Rosenberg and Bernard Rosenberg collaborated as co-hosts of the show Bernie & Sid in 2016. When their popularity eventually surpassed Don Imus’s Imus in the Morning Show, the show was transferred to a new time slot. McGuirk has been on Fox News shows including Outnumbered, Hannity, Watters’ World, and The Factor in the past few years.

The public is not aware of his parents’ personal information. The Long Beach native also leaves behind his wife Carol, two children, Brendan and Melanie.
