Caleb Martin Illness: Saturday, the Miami Heat announced that guard Caleb Martin was ill and unable to practise. Erik Spoelstra, head coach of the Miami Heat, has not ruled out Tyler Herro (still recuperating from a fractured right hand) for Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Denver Nuggets. Spoelstra was hesitant to establish a deadline for the guard’s return, however.
Herro, who has been suspended since fracturing his hand in Game 1 of the Heat’s first-round series against the Milwaukee Bucks, has increased the difficulty of his workouts in preparation for his return over the past week.
Spoelstra maintained his original stance when asked if Herro will be available for Sunday’s contest. Spoelstra observed, “We’re taking it one game at a time.” On Sunday, I will inform you. The situation has not changed. There is much to learn from it.

The Heat are confident despite losing Game 1 to the Nuggets and are awaiting updates on Martin and Herro’s rehabilitation progress. The Heat entered Saturday’s practice confident and at ease.
