Danny Masterson’s Childhood

Daniel Peter Masterson was born on Long Island, New York, on March 13, 1976. Masterson, who grew up in East Williston and Garden City, began his career in the entertainment industry at a very young age. By the age of four, he was a well-known child model, having appeared in advertisements and magazine articles.

He began performing in musicals at the age of eight, although his singing voice diminished as he aged. By the time he was sixteen, Danny had appeared in over 100 commercials, including ones for Tang, Clearasil, Kellogg’s, and many others

Personal life

Masterson dedicated a significant amount of time to the Church of Scientology. 2005 marked the beginning of his relationship with Church of Scientology member Bijou Phillips. Masterson and Phillips were married in 2011 after becoming engaged in 2009.

In 2014, they gave birth to their first child. Bijou’s father, John Phillips, was the main vocalist for the Mamas & the Papas. Bijou’s half-sister, Chynna Phillips, is married to Billy Baldwin.

Mackenzie Phillips, her other half-sister, subsequently claimed that she began using drugs with her father when she was 11 years old and that they had a long-term sexual relationship that began the night before her first marriage and resulted in an unborn child.

Danny Masterson’s Legal Afflictions

In 2017, four women accused Masterson of s*xual abuse. All four Scientologist women claimed Masterson poisoned their beverages prior to raping them. The authorities initiated an investigation.

Every accusation made against Danny was refuted. The United Talent Agency, Masterson’s Talent Agency, and “The Ranch” all terminated his employment as a consequence of this discovery. In 2019, the four original plaintiffs sued Danny and the Church of Scientology for surveillance and harassment in response to additional charges.

These women claimed they were harassed, pursued by Scientologists in vehicles, and covertly filmed. One of the four women was Chrissie Carnell Bixler, the wife of renowned vocalist Cedric Bixler-Zavala.

Cedric claimed that Masterson sexually assaulted his wife and fed his canines rat poison disguised as rolled-up raw meat. His conclusion was that members of the Church of Scientology were responsible for planting the poisoned meat.

Among other horrifying allegations, Danny is accused of drugging women and menacing them with firearms. In June 2020, Masterson was legally accused of raping three women.

According to reports, the first rape occurred in 2001, while the subsequent two occurred in 2003. These women spanned in age from 23 to 28. It was the conclusion of a three-year investigation that began in 2017.

Danny could receive a 45-year prison sentence if proven guilty. On May 31, 2023, Danny was judged guilty of two counts of forcible rape. He may be sentenced to a maximum of 30 years in prison, or 15 years for each conviction.

Danny Masterson Real Estate

Danny reportedly put his home on Holly Mont Drive in Los Angeles up for sale in 2007 for $1,595,000. The four-bedroom home features a private pool, a yard with multiple terraces, a hot spring, a fireplace with marble and gold leaf and a two-car garage.

In 1998, shortly after landing his lucrative role on “That ’70s Show,” he purchased the residence for $560,000. Masterson had already invested in several real estate properties, including six apartment buildings and a few lesser apartment complexes.

After purchasing a Los Angeles flat in 2003 for $165,000, Danny sold it to Laura Prepon less than a year later. Reports in 2020 claimed that there was an unusual connection between Masterson’s Hollywood Hills residence and his continuing rape-related legal matter.

During this period, he rented out his Hollyridge Drive home and resided in Santa Ynez, Santa Barbara County. In 2007, he paid $2.995 million for this 4,323-square-foot home that Chuck Berry had previously owned.

After being arrested for alleged rape in June 2020, Danny posted a $3.3 million surety to be released. He placed the collateral on the home on Hollyridge Drive. Masterson filed multiple lawsuits alleging that the Bank of New York Mellon and the Mortgage Electronic Registrations Systems (MERS) submitted fraudulent documents when he was obtaining a mortgage.

Danny claimed he was no longer required to make mortgage payments as a consequence of his actions. These requests have been repeatedly denied, and one attorney stated, “Plaintiffs appear to be throwing arguments against the wall in an attempt to find a justification for cancelling their mortgage loan without full repayment.”

It appears that Masterson personally filed a number of these lawsuits to protect his property from legal action. After an initial asking price of $7 million, Danny sold this residence for $6,200,000 in December 2021.

Danny Masterson’s Career

One of Masterson’s earliest notable film roles was in “Beethoven’s 2nd.” Early in the 1990s, he also appeared in the sitcom “Cybill.” He performed in this programme for two seasons before auditioning for “That ’70s Show,” despite being slightly older than the other cast members.

In response to Danny’s hilarious audition, the production team completely redesigned Hyde to suit Masterson’s style. Because of this, Danny’s career was effectively launched, and he appeared in all eight seasons of “That ’70s Show.”

Masterson continued acting after the show’s conclusion, appearing on “Punk’d” and “MADtv.” He appeared in the 2008 film “Yes Man” alongside Jim Carrey. He appeared alongside his wife Bijou Phillips in the 2009 film “The Bridge to Nowhere.”
