David Bowie Cause Of Death: The star’s 26th studio album, Blackstar, had just been released two days prior to his demise. In the hours after the singer’s death, memorials sprang up all across the globe, including in Brixton, London, his origin.
The demise of the Heroes singer was even more tragic because he had kept his diagnosis of liver cancer private, informing only his closest friends and family.
In 2014, when Bowie initially showed up to the studio to create his final album, he did so without hair or eyebrows due to chemotherapy; he vowed all of his collaborators to secrecy at that time.

David Bowie departed just two days after turning 69 from liver cancer. It had been 18 months since he’d been told he had cancer, but he’d concealed the news from the public and many of his acquaintances.
In the final months before his demise, Bowie was unable to attend rehearsals for his off-Broadway musical Lazarus, according to Belgian theater director Ivo van Hove. He did, however, point out that the artist had continued to perform even as his illness progressed.
