The Fourth of July is one of the greatest outdoor landmarks of summer. Before the pyrotechnics begin at nightfall, many communities celebrate with food, music, and family activities.

Onondaga County
Sunday, July 2, at the Paper Mill Island Amphitheatre in Baldwinsville. A lineup of classic rock bands will begin performing at 4 p.m. prior to the pyrotechnics display at dusk.
Brewerton/Cicero: Monday, July 3, between Routes 81 and 11 on the south bank of the Oneida River in Brewerton/Cicero. Community celebration in the Kid’s Zone at Brewerton’s Riverfront Park from 1 to 5 p.m.; boat parade at 3 p.m.; food, music, and numerous other activities throughout the Brewerton area prior to the 9:30 p.m. pyrotechnics display. You can witness fireworks from anywhere along the river.
Saturday, July 8, at the East Syracuse Elementary School, 230 Kinne Street, in East Syracuse. There will be food and entertainment from 6:15 to 9:15 prior to the 9:30 pyrotechnics display.
Tuesday, July 4, Village Centre, Route 92, Manlius. The food trucks and poultry barbecue commence at 4 p.m. There will be a parade at 5 p.m., entertainment at 6 p.m., and pyrotechnics at dusk.
Syracuse (NBT Bank Stadium): June 30, July 1, and July 2 games will be followed by fireworks.
State Fairgrounds of New York: Activities Friday, June 30, to Sunday, July 2, inclusive. Midway rides and refreshments begin at 4 p.m. on June 30 and continue until 10 p.m.; from noon to 10 p.m. on July 1 and from noon to 8 p.m. on July 2. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will have fireworks at 9:45 p.m. Before 6 p.m., parking is free; after 6 p.m., parking is $15 per vehicle (credit card only, no cash).
Auburn, Cayuga County, on Monday, July 3, at Emerson Park. Fireworks at dusk.
Fair Haven Fair on Saturday, July 1st. A day of festivities begins at 8 a.m. and concludes at 10 p.m. with pyrotechnics at the south end of Little Sodus Bay.
Tuesday, July 4th, in Owasco. The Auburn Owasco Fire Department, located at 7174 Owasco Road, will host its annual barbecue beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by a parade at 1:00 p.m.

The region of Cortland County
Cincinnatus: Various locations in the Town of Cincinnatus on Sunday, July 2. On the 1st and 2nd of July, Cincinnatus Hometown Days will feature rodeos, food, games, and more, culminating with pyrotechnics at the Fairgrounds at dusk on the final day. Saturday, July 1st, at Dwyer Memorial Park. The park opens at 8 a.m. for the celebration of Independence Day in Cortland County. Food, music, and vendors precede the nighttime pyrotechnics display. $5 per automobile admission.
Virgil: Monday, July 3, at 9:30 p.m., Hope Lake Park, Greek Peak Resort, Cortland. Fireworks display.
Jefferson County, Alexandria Bay: Tuesday, July 4, at 9:45 p.m. One can witness fireworks over Boldt Castle from the riverfront.
Monday, July 3 is the date for Clayton’s entry. Along the water’s edge, fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.
Tuesday, July 4, Sackets Harbour: The Battlefield. The day’s festivities conclude with pyrotechnics at 9:30 p.m.
Cazenovia, Madison County: Tuesday, July 4, Village of Cazenovia. There will be 5 K and 10 K races from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. At 1 p.m., the Lincklaen Street parade will proceed west to Albany Street. Live music begins at 4 p.m. at Lakeland Park, followed by a pyrotechnics display over the south end of Cazenovia Lake at dusk.
Oneida County, Vernon: Vernon Downs Racecourse, 1 July. There will be food vendors at 5 p.m. and harness racing at 6:05 p.m. prior to the fireworks at dusk.
Ontario County Canandaigua: downtown Canandaigua on Tuesday, July 4. The 10 a.m. Main Street parade begins at City Hall. Live music, food, and farm-themed activities precede the pyrotechnics at Lincoln Hill Farms, 2777 NY-247, at dusk.
Fourth of July 2023: The region of Oswego County
Sunday, July 2, in downtown Oswego, New York. The Downtown Block Party begins at 2:00 p.m. with music, refreshments, and other activities. The Oswego River will be illuminated by fireworks at 9:45 p.m.
Saturday, July 1, at 6:30 p.m., 300 East Albany Street, Oswego. At the conclusion of the racing, there were fireworks.

Thomas County
Friday, June 30, at 7 p.m., at the Groton Elementary School, 400 Peru Road. There will be food and a DJ prior to the pyrotechnics display at dusk.
Trumansburg: Tuesday, July 4, at 9:30 p.m., at the Inn at Taughannock Falls, 2030 Gorge Road. Taughannock Falls State Park offers parking for the pyrotechnics over the falls.
3 July, 10 p.m., Monday, Wayne County, Sodus Point. At 10:00 p.m., the waterfront will host a fireworks display.
