Mark Richt Illness
Mark Richt, a retired college football coach, realised something was awry when he began to experience problems with his balance, foot mobility, and muscle tightness.
Before being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in May 2021, the former quarterback-turned-coach featured on ESPN’s ACC Network conferred with a neurologist and other specialists. Two months later, on July 1st, he disclosed his diagnosis through a tweet.
Two years later, Richt asserts that his insulin infusions, stem cell treatments, and, most recently, Levodopa regimen have assisted him in managing the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease (PD). In addition, he exercises, gets sufficient rest, and eats healthily.

Richt’s Diagnosis: Pay Attention to Dopamine Levels
In early 2021, when he was recuperating from hip replacement surgery, Richt observed that he had difficulty maintaining his balance, that his feet were “freezing,” and that his muscles were tight, and that none of these symptoms were improving with rehabilitation.
A neurologist referred him to a movement specialist in Augusta, Georgia. Two months later, the specialist had confirmed what Richt had begun to speculate. Richt had been researching his symptoms online when he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
Parkinson’s disease begins with the gradual degeneration of dopamine-producing cells in the substantia nigra, a region of the brain, resulting in motor function loss and other symptoms.
Mark has focused on cleansing, reducing stress, and minimising inflammation in order to preserve the remaining dopamine in his body since obtaining his diagnosis.
How Richt Stays in Control?
According to Richt, stem cell interventions are likely the most effective method for reducing inflammation. Moreover, he is concerned with maintaining his dopamine levels, eliminating toxins from his body, and reducing his tension levels through exercise and rest.

- Richt has also developed a network of medical professionals, family members, friends, and coworkers who keep a watch on him and notify him of any abnormal behaviour that may indicate the progression of his symptoms.
