What Was Mylon LeFevre’s Identity?
Mylon Rae LeFevre, who was born in Gulfport, Mississippi, on October 6, 1944, was a member of the renowned Southern gospel group The LeFevres. Mylon LeFevre, the youngest son of Eva Mae and Urias, rose to prominence in the United States as a Christian rock vocalist, particularly with his bands Mylon and Broken Heart.
He was appropriately inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame for his outstanding contributions to the genre. Mylon’s ministry required him to travel throughout the United States, where he not only gave concerts but also delivered sermons to his adherents. He could be observed on television on TBN, Daystar, and Victory Channel.
Mylon’s first significant accomplishment was composing and recording his debut single, “Without Him,” when he was 17 years old and serving in the Army on a meager $84 monthly salary. While he was stationed in South Carolina at Fort Jackson, gospel group The LeFevres travelled there to perform at a conference.
After leaving the military, Mylon LeFevre was a member of the Stamps Quartet from 1966 to 1968. “New Found Joy,” his debut album as a solo artist, was published in 1964 on the Skylite Records label. 1968 saw the publication of Mylon LeFevre’s second single, “Your Only Tomorrow.” His musical career and dedication to spreading the gospel have left an indelible mark on the history of Christian music.

My precious, strong and courageous husband laid hold of eternal life last night.
When we discussed heaven through the years, Mylon was most excited about receiving the soul winner’s crown. With his contemporary Christian rock band, Mylon and Broken Heart, he had the privilege of leading over 250,000 youth to Jesus. He cherished all the years of music ministry and the countless lives touched through his songs but his greatest joy was teaching the Word of God, especially through our broadcast, On the Road to Freedom. Throughout the last years of this intense non-stop battle, never once did I hear him falter in his good confession of faith. In every broadcast and church service, many witnesses can attest to his bold declaration: JESUS IS MY HEALER.

My honey, we discussed many times how we both daily answered the call for the holy affirmation that I know you are now hearing,
