Rod Stewart Illness: British rock musician announces Prostate Cancer Remission

Rod Stewart Illness: Recently, the legendary British rock musician and songwriter Rod Stewart revealed that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. The 76-year-old performer announced a benefit concert for the Prostate Project and European Tour Foundation, an organization that raises awareness and funds for prostate cancer research and treatment.

Stewart revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer in 2016, kept the news to himself until now, and is presently in remission due to treatment. Stewart has encouraged other men to receive regular prostate cancer screenings and checkups while continuing to perform and tour the globe.

His revelation has sparked new discussions about the significance of early prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment, as well as shed light on the lived experiences of those affected by the disease.

Rod Stewart, a legendary musician, has declared that he is now cancer-free, two years after being diagnosed with prostate cancer and undergoing treatment. In February 2016, it was reported that Stewart, then 74 years old, was diagnosed with prostate cancer during a routine physical examination.

At a Prostate Project fundraiser concert with former Faces bandmates Ronnie Wood and Kenny Jones, the singer (who was knighted in 2016 for his contributions to music and charity) revealed the news. Stewart reportedly informed 500 guests at the Wentworth Club in Surrey, England over the weekend that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer two years prior.

He continued, “No one knows this, but I figured it was about time I told everyone.” I’m safe now that I’ve detected it early. Oh my god, I must prepare for so many examinations! The Grammy-winning artist is currently advocating for a greater understanding of prostate cancer and encouraging all men to take preventative measures and undertake routine examinations to better understand their health and identify the disease’s early warning signs.

The renowned musician and his 48-year-old wife Penny urged their friends to consult a physician. If you can remain optimistic, maintain a smile, and persevere through whatever challenges you face, then “If you’re positive…” applies to you. Two years of arduous labor have passed, but I’ve been content the entire time because the Lord has provided for me.

Wood, who has fought lung cancer, responded to Stewart’s remarks by saying, “Someone up there likes us, Rod.” The singer has reportedly been cancer-free since July.
