Who Is Jack White?
John Anthony Gillis is the birth name of Jack White, who was born on July 9, 1975. He is one of ten children born to a musical Detroit Catholic family. White is a multi-instrumentalist who plays the guitar, piano, and percussion. Before interning at Muldoon Studio, an upholstery company, he played in multiple ensembles, including Two Star Tabernacle and The Go.
At this time, he formed a band at Muldoon Studios, and the studio’s proprietor, Brian Muldoon, released a three-track single titled The Upholsterers. Jack founded his own business, Third Man Upholstery, at age 21. In 1996, he married Meg White, a barmaid at the time.
Jack was playing guitar on Bastille Day in 1997 when he placed Meg in front of a percussion kit because he enjoyed her playing. Meg played the percussion while Jack sang and played the guitar. They christened their band The White Stripes after Meg’s favourite candy, peppermints.

After his viral Instagram post attacking Donald Trump and other personalities, Twitter users praised Jack White. Several social media users praised Jack for “saying the quiet part out loud” and criticised the politician’s associates for their silence.
Others, particularly Mark Wahlberg, were shocked to see prominent personalities associating with Trump and stated they would no longer support him.
