Florida SNAP Payments August 2026: Florida will send SNAP benefits from August 1 through August 28, 2026. The money will not arrive on the same day for every household. Each family gets a payment date based on certain numbers in its Florida case number.
SNAP stands for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Many people still call it food stamps. The benefit money is placed on a Florida EBT card. The same card is normally loaded each month again after the household stays approved for help.
How does Florida decide your August SNAP Date?
Florida looks at the eighth and ninth numbers in the SNAP case number. These two numbers must be read backward. The last or tenth number is not used.
For example, a person should first leave out the tenth number. They should then look at the ninth number and the eighth number. These two numbers will make a number between 00 and 99. That number decides when the August payment will reach the EBT card. The regular Florida SNAP schedule covers the first 28 calendar days of every month. This means payments will continue through most of August instead of being sent to everyone at once.

Checking the EBT Card
Florida says benefits are deposited once a day and should normally be available by 6 a.m. A person can check the balance through the EBT Cardholder Portal. They can also call Florida EBT Customer Service at 1-888-356-3281. The phone number is also printed on the back of the EBT card. Any SNAP money that is not spent during August can stay on the card and roll into the next month.

Florida changed some SNAP shopping rules on April 20, 2026. Items SNAP does not cover:
- Alcohol and tobacco
- Hot food ready to eat
- Vitamins, medicines and supplements
- Pet food
- Soap, paper products and cleaning supplies
- Cosmetics and other household goods
What if you Do Not Receive it?
A household that does not receive its money on the expected date should first check its MyACCESS account. The person should make sure the case is still active and that no renewal or document is missing.
