The phrase RPM may be unfamiliar to you, so allow me to explain it in layman’s terms. RPM stands for Revenue Per Million. It is merely a measurement of imaginary revenue per one thousand page impressions on your website. The number associated with your site can be found in your Adsense account.
Consider a random integer as an illustration. If the average RPM for your AdSense account is $5.00, then you may expect to earn $5.00 per 1,000 page impressions. To earn $1,000 per month using Google Adsense, you would need approximately 6,600 page views each day.
6,600 page views per day divided by 1,000 means 6.6 x $5 RPM equals $33 per day multiplied by 31 days in a month is $1,023 in Adsense Revenue.
Hopefully, the given formula did not cause you any confusion. This is merely an example. Your RPM will fluctuate, but you can achieve a respectable average over time.
The average RPM will vary based on your market and other variables. Some of my niches have significantly higher RPMs than others.
How to Increase Your Adsense Income (RPM)
So, is it possible to increase your RPM? Yes and no is the answer. You should avoid being overly obsessed with trying to increase your number. You should be more concerned with generating consistently high-quality content. According to the Adsense representative, there are a few things you can do.
How to set primary account on Google Pay
Accept both Text and Image Advertisements
Text adverts just display links and text, similar to traditional classified ads. Image advertisements will display graphic advertisements similar to those found on traditional billboards. In your Adsense account, you have the option of displaying either one or both.
According to the Adsense representative, displaying both is preferable. This increases competition since it attracts additional marketers vying for the same area. Then, Google Adsense will display the ad with the highest performance.
Additionally, you create a new stream of revenue with image adverts. Some picture advertisements pay based on impressions. This means that you are compensated even if no one clicks your advertisement. Obviously, you must determine for yourself whether opting in to display both is the wisest course of action.
Select the Most Common Ad Blocks
Using the most prevalent Adsense blocks is apparently another strategy to increase Adsense revenue. Some advertisers exclusively develop their graphics for specific ad sizes. It seems obvious that using advertising with more advertiser competition could result in increased revenue. Again, test this to determine whether it applies to you and your niche.
Some of the more popular ad sizes mentioned were:
- Leaderboard (728×90)
- Large Rectangle (336×280)
- Medium Rectangle (300×250)
- Wide Skyscraper (160×600)
