Dr. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, the prior Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, founded the Dr. Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada in 1986. He also succeeded as the institution’s first chancellor. The University Grants Commission has authorized it (UGC). The Medical Council of India (MCI) and the Dental Council of India (DCI) both accredit Dr. Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada.
The institution’s main goals included developing a unified syllabus across all disciplines and raising the bar for medical education. The NTRUHS headquarters first combined a campus with the Siddhartha Medical College facility, and the university operated there until March 2002. However, it moved into its current structure in April 2002.

NTRUHS Admission 2022
Vijayawada’s Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences provides programmes at the UG, PG, doctorate, and superspecialty levels. Enrollment in the M.B.B.S., B.D.S., B.A.M.S., B.H.M.S., B.N.Y.S., and B.U.M.S. courses at NTRUHS Vijayawada is dependent on the NEET UG qualifying test.
