Actor Shivarj Kumar Biography: Shiva Rajkumar (born Nagaraju Shiva Puttaswamy on 12 July 1962) is an Indian actor, film producer, and television host who works primarily in Kannada cinema. In a career spanning more than three decades, he has appeared in more than 125 Kannada films and has been honoured with numerous accolades, including four Karnataka State Film Awards, four Filmfare Awards South, and six South Indian International Movie Awards.

Childhood and family
Shiva Rajkumar was the first of five children born to actor Rajkumar and film producer Parvathamma in Madras (now Chennai), Tamil Nadu. His two siblings are film producer Raghavendra and actor Puneeth. Shiva attended elementary school in T. Nagar, Chennai, and then the New College, Chennai.[9]
After graduating from Madras University in 1983, on the insistence of film director K. Balachander, Shiva enrolled in an acting academy in Chennai. After receiving Kuchipudi dance training from Vempetti Chinna Sathyam during his undergraduate years in Chennai, he made his debut in the Kannada film industry with Anand.

Shiva began his performing career in 1986 with the film Anand Prior to that, he had a minor role as a child actor in the 1974 film Sri Srinivasa Kalyana. Over the course of his 36-year tenure, he played a variety of roles. Janumada Jodi, Jogi, Anand, Ratha Sapthami, Nammoora Mandatory Hoove, Om, and Chigurida Kanasu are his most notable films. He played a role in Sugreeva, which was filmed in 18 hours. Upendra’s His Om established a trend for criminal films in Kannada and other Indian film industries. It is still being shown to this day.
In the 1998 film Bhoomi Thayiya Chochchala Maga, Shiva portrayed Karna, a companion of legislator Bharath Kumar (played by Ramesh Aravind) on a mission to accomplish the latter’s unrealized ambition of having a dam built in a village. His performance was lauded; Srikanth Srinivasa of the Deccan Herald referred to it as his “best… to date.” Srinivasa also lauded Shiva’s performance in the 2003 film Don, in which he portrayed a lawyer-turned-serial killer, writing, “Shivanna excels in his portrayal as the don. He delivered a performance that was both passionate and composed.
His film Cheluveye Ninne Nodalu was filmed at the seven world marvels. Jogayya, his 100th film, is the sequel to his blockbuster Jogi.
The 2013 film Bhajarangi was a box office triumph and ran for more than 100 days. Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu all released the film. The film was released in 212 theatres in Karnataka alone.
Personal Life
Shiva is wed to Geeta, the daughter of former Karnataka chief minister Sarekoppa Bangarappa. The couple has two daughters; their names are Niveditha and Nirupama.

Actor Shivarj Kumar Awards and recognition
Shiva has received four Film fare awards and four state awards for best actor. Additionally, he has garnered multiple Cine-Express, Sirigannada, and ETV awards. His name has been used to raise awareness for social causes and charity. On his birthday, a charitable organisation named “Shivarajkumar Suvarana Mahotsava Abhinandsava Samithi” was founded.
In 2016, she was awarded the Kohinoor of South India honour by the British South India Council of Commerce and Visionnaire Entertainment – London.
