This internet personality is best known by his alias, “Egoraptor,” for his internet animations and his popular YouTube Let’s Play web series, “Game Grumps.” After joining Newgrounds on September 16, 2001, under the alias Egoraptor, he published his debut cartoon, “Final Fantasy 7 Flash Spoof,” on DeviantArt, and his career took off from there. The most popular of his YouTube web series is “The Awesome Series,” in which he parodies video game franchises. In 2004, he published the cartoon “Final Fantasy 7 Flash Spoof” after joining Newgrounds in 2001. In 2006, he uploaded to Newgrounds his first “Awesome” cartoon named “Metal Gear Awesome,” and MTV producers called Arin to create animated shorts for their online gaming show “The G-Hole” as soon as they saw it. In the same year, he performed as the sole voice actor in Lee McGuire’s animation “J.I.M.” Since 2016, Arin Hanson has provided the voice of multiple characters in “Mighty Magiswords” for Cartoon Network.

Hanson, together with fellow musicians and comedians Leigh Daniel Avidan and Brian Wecht, founded a band in 2013 and released two albums, the first in the same year and the second in 2014, the latter reaching number one on the US Comedy Albums US Billboard Charts. 2014 saw the publication of his collaboration with Stamper and Marc M., “Fat Refunds,” on StamperTV. Currently, he resides in Glendale, California with his wife, Suzanne Berhow, who operates a gaming channel under the alias “Mortem3r.” Hanson appears frequently on the channel.
