Giannis Antetokounmpo, a basketball player, was born in Athens, Greece, in 1994. His parents immigrated from Nigeria. Charles Antetokounmpo, his father, played football, while Veronica Antetokounmpo, his mother, excelled in high jumping. The four brothers he has are Thanasis, Kostas, Alex, and Francis. His parents were unable to obtain good careers because of their immigration status. Antetokounmpo and his brothers were forced to perform part-time jobs selling watches and sunglasses on the streets in order to support their family. When Antetokounmpo began playing basketball in 2007, he was already displaying exceptional talent. He was an Athens local team player. He represented the Filathlitikos in the Greek B Basket League in 2011.

At last, in 2013, Antetokounmpo was granted Greek citizenship. In the NBA draft the same year, the Milwaukee Bucks selected him with the 15th overall choice. The youthful basketball player has been playing for the Bucks and has excelled in his performances. In addition to winning the Most Improved Player title in 2017, he was chosen to play in the NBA All-Star game for the Eastern Conference All-Star team.

Antetokounmpo made history by being the youngest player in the club to start an All-Star game at the age of 22. In all, he took part in six All-Star games. In 2019 and 2020, he was voted twice as the Eastern Conference captain. in 2021. The NBA champion guided the Milwaukee Bucks to their first title since 1971. His title was “Most Valuable Player of the Finals.”
