Juice WRLD: Early Life

Juice WRLD’s real name is Jarad Anthony Higgins. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 2, 1998. Higgins lived in Calumet Park as a child and in Homewood as a teen. When he was three years old, his parents split up, and he moved in with his mother and bigger brother. It was during this time that he grew to like both hip-hop and rock music. His mother raised him in a conservative home and wouldn’t let him listen to hip-hop. However, he was pushed to listen to rock and pop music, which is how he became interested in bands like Blink-182, Black Sabbath, Fall Out Boy, and others. He learned to play many instruments, such as the piano, guitar, drums, and horn, when he was very young. In his second year, he started putting songs on SoundCloud and started to take his music more seriously.
