Mike Vitar, whose real name is Michael Anthony Vitar, was born in Los Angeles, California, and has Latin ancestry. With two additional siblings, he is the youngest member of the family. In 1996, Pablo, his elder brother and the actor who portrayed an older Benny in “The Sandlot,” was promoted to sergeant in the Los Angeles police department. He passed away on January 29, 2008, from colon cancer. Elizabeth is Vitar’s elder sister as well. He received his diploma from La Cañada, California’s St. Francis High School in 1997.
Career
He debuted as Arturo in Peter Maris’ action thriller “Diplomatic Immunity” in 1991. In addition, he made his screen debut as Anthony Gambuzza in the CBS family drama “Brooklyn Bridge” episode “Boys of Summer,” which followed a Jewish American family in Brooklyn during the 1950s.
