Soon after graduation in 1972, Cole began performing in small live music clubs with her band, Black Magic. In 1975, she recorded and released her debut album, “Inseparable,” under Capitol Records. In April 2012, she appeared on Pennington Great Performers alongside the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra. She passed away in a Los Angeles hospital due to congestive heart failure.
