Since childhood, Del Valle has had a passion for singing, and at four years old, she became a member of the esteemed “Coro de Niños de San Juan”—also known as the “San Juan Children’s Choir.” This event ignited her interest in the great arts, especially music. In her spare time, she enjoys writing songs and picking up a guitar. Her proudest moment was being offered the opportunity to travel to Brazil with the San Juan Children’s Choir. It was then that she first realized how widespread poverty was, and she has worked as a social worker ever since. Her social work project, “A Choir of Angels,” offers children with Down syndrome a music-based therapeutic and health program.

The M.G.M. National Harbour in Oxon Hill, Maryland hosted Miss World in 2016. 116 countries entered the competition, with Spain’s Mireia Lalaguna taking home the title as Miss World 2015. Del Valle, Peter Andre, and Fernando Allende were scheduled to co-host Miss World 2021 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum. However, because of the Omicron strain of COVID-19, which is increasing instances on the island and resulting in 23 of the 97 contestants testing positive, the December final was rescheduled until March 2022.
