Early Years

Wiz Khalifa was born Cameron Jibril Thomaz on September 8, 1987 in Minot, North Dakota. His military parents divorced when he was three years old. Due to the military service of his parents, his family migrated frequently. Khalifa lived in Japan, the United Kingdom, and Germany before relocating to Pittsburgh in 1996 with his mother. Khalifa began writing and performing his own compositions shortly after his relocation to Pittsburgh. At age 15, Khalifa began recording his compositions.
