Prayagraj: The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board will administer the class 10 and 12 board examinations for the academic year 2023-24 in the month of February 2024. Friday marked the official announcement of the academic calendar for the session 2023–2024.
The state government’s One District, One Product (ODOP) initiative mandates that pupils enrolled in schools recognised by the UP Board should be encouraged to use and be knowledgeable about the product of their respective district. By understanding and utilising the ODOP product, students will learn to become self-reliant and gainful employees.
Similarly, schools have been instructed to transport students to various “Shilp Mela” (craft fair) events held in their respective districts and in other districts as well, so that students are exposed to the products of other districts.
The board has also mandated that all ninth- through twelfth-grade students enrol in the ‘Pankh’ career guidance portal. In this way, the students will be able to choose a vocation that interests them in the future. The schools are instructed to use email addresses in their regular instructional activities.
On December 22, which is the birthday of renowned mathematician Ramanujam, puzzles and other activities based on mental mathematics will be organised in all UP board institutions.
Similarly, instructors and school administrators have been instructed to identify weak students after the first quarterly test is administered in the month of May. These students should then be guided throughout the year in order to perform well on board exams.
The Board Secretary, Dibyakant Shukla, announced that a portal titled “Jigyasa on call” (query on call) will be introduced so that students can receive answers to their questions in order to better prepare for the board examination.
According to the academic calendar, the class 12 pre-board practical examination will be conducted on January 24 and the class 10 and 12 theory examinations should be completed by the third week of January. The 9th and 11th grade annual examinations will be administered during the third week of January 2024, and the results will be released during the second week of February.
The board’s practical examination will take place between January 21 and February 5, 2024.
