Dr. Tabassum Nawab Receives Best Presentation Award: At the 9th International Conference on Public Health 2023 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Dr. Tabassum Nawab, a faculty member from the Department of Community Medicine at JNMC, Aligarh Muslim University, received Best Presentation Award at an International Conference.
The audience was riveted by her research paper, “Is Dietary Diversity Among Antenatal Women a Determinant of Maternal Anaemia in India?” as a result of which she won the prize for outstanding presentation.
Her research exposed the alarming lack of nutritional variety among pregnant women in Aligarh as well as the diet’s crucial link to maternal anaemia.
The region may benefit from increased maternal health and nutrition as a result of Dr. Nawab’s perceptive discoveries.

Additionally, she presided over a meeting at the ICOPH 2023. Global attendees participated in the conference, which focused on “Preparedness in Public Health: Advancing Technology, Equity, and Strengthening Community,” in both hybrid and in-person modalities.
On August 8, AMU will kick off a national conference on Resurgent India.
A two-day national conference titled “Resurgent India: Themes, Aspirations, and Challenges at 75” will be held at Aligarh Muslim University on August 8 and 9, 2023. Prof. Mohammad Gulrez, Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, will preside over the conference.
The purpose of the conference is to offer a forum for in-depth discussion and critical evaluation of many aspects of India’s journey over its 75 years of freedom. In celebration of India’s 75th anniversary of independence, more than 140 academics from throughout the country are anticipated to attend the conference and submit papers on a variety of issues relating to India’s revival.
The conferences will feature eminent speakers from a variety of industries who will impart their knowledge and priceless insights. While Prof. Bahrul Islam of the Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur, will discuss entrepreneurship, startups, and the difficulties and prospects facing India’s youth, Mr. SY Qureshi, a former chief election commissioner of India, will speak on the difficulties in sustaining democratic norms. Eminent economist and Professor Emeritus Amitabh Kundu will provide insightful commentary on the socio-economic difficulties India faces in the context of its rural development programmes. Mr. Shantanu Mukherji, a former IPS officer and a national security subject matter specialist, will talk about current security difficulties and the changing national security measures.
