Army School Teachers Recruitment 2022: AWES to recruit PGT, TGT and PRT posts

Due to the cold wave, the Bihar government has ordered all schools in Patna for students in Grades 1 through 8 to be closed from December 26 to December 31.

In a circular, the district magistrate of Patna stated, “Due to the cold wave, all government schools in the state will be closed from December 26 to December 31.” It was stated that the state government would likely extend the holiday by a few days if the weather remained unchanged.

Severe cold reported at most locations in Punjab; cold day at most locations with isolated severe cold day reported in Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi; cold day to severe cold day reported at isolated locations in northwest Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Due to low visibility and dense fog, schools in Lucknow, Ghaziabad, and Punjab have changed their school schedules recently. This district’s schools will hold classes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. until December 31, 2022.

The IMD declares a cold wave in the plains if the minimum temperature falls below 4 degrees Celsius. A cold wave is also declared when the minimum temperature falls to or below 10 degrees Celsius and is 4.5 degrees below average. A “severe” cold wave occurs when the minimum temperature falls below 2 degrees Celsius or when the deviation from normal exceeds 6.4 degrees Celsius.
