D.El.Ed. semester exams 2023 postponed: The D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) semester examinations for the first and third batches have been postponed owing to the re-examination of the Village Development Officer (VDO) and Gramme Panchayat Officer. Exams that were originally scheduled to occur from June 26 to July 1, 2023, have been rescheduled for July 3-8, 2023.
Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi, secretary of the Examination Regulatory Authority Office, stated that the decision to postpone the D.El.Ed. examinations were made in response to candidate requests due to the VDO re-examination. Approximately 14.27 million candidates are anticipated to participate in these examinations.

Notably, the state government cancelled the previous examination for these positions on March 25, 2021, in response to complaints of fraud. During a simultaneous video conferencing session, Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra and Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission Praveer Kumar instructed Divisional Commissioners to make the necessary preparations for upcoming exams.
In order to guarantee a smooth examination process, a total of 737 examination centres have been set up in various districts. Similar to the previous qualifying examination, the chief secretary emphasised the significance of maintaining order and preventing chaos due to the anticipated massive movement of people throughout the districts.
