The Government of India’s Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has arranged free coaching for all Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Class students in various coaching institutes across the country. These coaching programmes provide free preparation for the entrance examinations for enrollment in higher education institutions as well as the entrance examinations for admission to many government services. Students from backward classes, in addition to students from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, can benefit from this facility if their annual family income is less than Rs.8 lakh.
IIT JEE, CLAT, NEET, IIM CAT, XLRI JAT, National Defense Academy, Commercial Pilot Licensing, and other entrance exams for which coaching is available are listed below. Similarly, in addition to the above scheme, coaching is provided for the examinations held for appointment to the posts of officers in the Staff Selection Commission, Railway Recruitment Board, various State Governments, Banks, and Public Sector Undertakings.
