Fulbright scholarship application process: Through academic and professional advancement and cross-cultural dialogue, the Fulbright U.S. Student Programme broadens perspectives. Fulbright creates connections in a world that is complex and ever-changing. The Fulbright U.S. Student Programme, in partnership with more than 140 countries worldwide, offers unparalleled opportunities in all academic disciplines to passionate and accomplished college seniors, graduate students, and young professionals of all backgrounds. Participants in the programme pursue graduate education, conduct research, or teach English abroad.
During the duration of their grants, Fulbright recipients will interact with, work alongside, live with, and learn from the people of the host country by sharing daily experiences. The programme facilitates cultural exchange through direct interaction on an individual basis in the classroom, field, home, and during routine tasks, allowing the grantee to acquire an appreciation for the perspectives and beliefs of others, their way of doing things, and their way of thinking. Through community involvement, individuals will interact one-on-one with their hosts in an environment of openness, academic integrity, and intellectual freedom, thereby fostering mutual understanding.

Before continuing, please review the eligibility requirements for the Fulbright U.S. Student Programme.
2. Determine Type of Applications
You will submit your application via a U.S. institution or At-Large.
If you are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme at a U.S. college or university, you are strongly encouraged to submit your application through that institution, even if you are not a U.S. resident.
You may apply through your alma mater if it is willing and able to accept alumni applications and you are not currently enrolled. The remaining candidates will register as At-Large candidates.
The Fulbright Programme Advisor (FPA) will designate a campus application deadline for the institution’s students, which is typically four to six weeks prior to the October deadline. Please confirm with the FPA the campus deadline.
All candidates applying through a U.S. institution must submit the Fulbright application via the Fulbright online application system by the campus deadline; all supporting materials as specified in the Application Components section must also be submitted by the campus deadline.
The Fulbright Programme Advisor will arrange a campus interview for you once your application has been submitted for institutional review.
You may have the opportunity to revise your application based on feedback provided by the Fulbright Programme Advisor and the campus interview committee after the interview and prior to the national deadline in October.
You must collaborate with the Fulbright Programme Advisor to ensure that your application is submitted by the deadline with all supporting materials attached.
