Guru Gobind Singh Refinery: The HMEL Guru Gobind Singh Refinery-supported HPCL-Mittal Foundation is developing a strategy to promote Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education by providing mini science laboratories in five government schools. On Monday, the foundation established the first micro science centre at the Government High School in the village of Tarkhanwala.
Inaugurating the mini science lab on Monday, the District Education Officer Shiv Pal Goyal stated that students will be able to gain a practical understanding of science and that their interest in science will increase as a result. Approximately 1,200 students will benefit from the lab, as students from nearby village schools will also be brought there.
In addition, five of these portable science laboratories will be installed in government schools in the villages of Ramsara, Jajjal, Bangi Kalan, and Gurthadi. It is a catalytic channel that is an interactive, engaging, and enjoyable method to learn techniques for increasing children’s awareness, comprehension, and aptitude.
The foundation also provides scholarships and tablets to class X students with high grades, as well as scholarships and laptops to class XII students. Students of distinction are sent to Delhi CSRL to prepare for admission to IITs and NITs.
