Allahabad HC asks UP govt to reconsider ban on fee hike in private schools

UPPSC PCS Pre Exam 2021: The Allahabad High Court has reserved its decision on Tuesday on the special appeal filed by the Public Service Commission and the state government in the matter of cancellation of PCS Pre-2021 exam results. This order has been given by a division bench of Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal and Justice JJ Munir.

The Commission argued that the entire result was canceled for only two candidates, while the counsel for the petitioner said that the result was not completely canceled as the Commission had conducted the interview even after the High Court order. Many technical issues were raised from both the sides, on which the court reserved the decision after hearing. It is noteworthy that the single bench of the High Court had canceled the result of PCS Preliminary Examination 2021 for not giving five per cent reservation to ex-servicemen in the recruitment process. It was also said that the commission should issue the result of the preliminary examination afresh, giving five percent reservation to the ex-servicemen.

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has challenged this order of the single bench through appeal. It is also necessary to mention that the Public Service Commission has completed the interview process for PCS-2021 on August 5 last. 1260 out of 1285 candidates appeared in the interview held from July 21 to August 5 for the selection of 623 posts including SDM, Deputy SP, BDO, ARTO. 25 candidates were absent.
