JEE Advanced 2022 women topper Tanishka Kabra believes that there is no single strategy that can help in cracking IIT entrance. Tanishka has secured 16th rank in All India by securing 277 marks out of 360. She is the highest ranking student in engineering entrance exam. He told how JEE preparation started and what is most important to clear this exam.
Advising his peers, he said, “First listen to what others have to say, including their teachers, but choose the preparation strategy that works best for you. Don’t adopt a strategy that is difficult for you to follow.”
He said, “First small goals should be achieved. At the same time, one should always be honest towards one’s goal. Motivate yourself to study and complete the course. While many students do not have short term goals. They focus only on JEE Main and Advanced. I think it is not right. With small victories your confidence increases, and it can help in motivating the students,”
The topper said that she was not able to manage the time properly during the exam. Every candidates have to be very careful about how much time they are spending on each question. I could not manage the time perfectly in my first paper, but then I rectified my mistake in my second paper.”
Tanishka got inspired by this topper
Tanishka said, while preparing for NEET, she was also inspired by JEE Advanced 2020 topper Chirag Fallor. “While I was preparing for my exam last year, I came to know about Chirag Fallor, who topped the exam. I thought to myself that if he can do that then I and I think I can achieve my goal.”
Fallor not only secured Rank 1 in JEE Advanced, but has also been a Child Award winner, IOAA Gold Medalist. However, he studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA.
Like Fallor, Kabra also participated in the Olympiad. Kabra won the silver medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad 2022 in July. Based on his performance in the Indian Olympiad Qualifiers in Chemistry (IOQC) Part II, Kabra was selected by HBCSE to represent India at the International Chemistry Olympiad 2022.
