The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday declared the results of medical entrance exam NEET UG 2022. Delhi’s Vats Ashish Batra has got the second position in NEET.

Although Ashish’s NEET topper has scored equal to Rajasthan’s Tanishka (715-99.99 percentile out of 720) but due to the tie-breaking formula, she has got a rank of 2.

Thanking the coaching faculty of Akash Baeju, Ashish said, ‘I started preparing after 10th. Initially I was not that serious but after joining regular coaching classes, I made it a mission. After studying for one and a half hours, he used to give himself a break of 20 to 30 minutes. Loved listening to music and playing during breaks.

A total of 18,72,343 students had registered for the NEET UG exam. Out of this, 17,64,571 students appeared in the examination. A total of 9,93,069 students have passed out of these. All the students who secured the first four ranks have 99.99 percentile (715 marks). The rank among them was determined by the tie breaking formula. Out of 9,93,069 students who cleared the exam, 2,82,184 belong to the unreserved category. 447753 belong to OBC, 131767 to SC, 47295 to ST and 84070 to EWS category. 2,717 candidates are from the differently abled category.

The NEET-UG exam was conducted on July 17 at 3,570 centers in a total of 497 cities, including 14 cities outside the country.
