NIT Raipur welcomes delegates of Nagaland: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur warmly welcomed the delegates of Nagaland on Thursday in accordance with phase two of Yuva Sangam, the youth exchange programme under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat that aims to strengthen people-to-people ties, particularly between the youth of different states, and introduce them to the culture and values of India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi conceptualised and structured the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat concept, which created a cultural connection between the various Indian states.
NIT Raipur welcomes delegates of Nagaland
It also seeks to expose young people who exemplify not only tremendous talent, global knowledge, the spirit of creativity and innovation, but also cultural values that reflect the country’s humanistic ethos. This initiative was introduced in February of this year, and the first phase of Yuva Sangam saw a participation rate of over 1200 young people, with the first group travelling to northeast India.
The principal guest was Dr. Sanjay Alang, Divisional Commissioner of Raipur, and the special guest was international weightlifter Rustam Sarang.
A scheduled industrial excursion to Bhilai Steel Plant, a trip to Sirpur, and a visit to the Governor’s House will provide ample opportunities for the delegates from Nagaland to explore and learn about the state’s culture. During the next four days, the delegates will also explore the cities of Raipur and Naya Raipur and participate in numerous recreational activities.
