NVS Class 6 Registration 2024 Starts: Today, June 20, the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) began accepting applications for Class 6 in 2024-25. Eligible students can register for the Jawaharlal Nehru Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) on the official website, navodaya.gov.in.
The application deadline for Class 6 admission to NVS is August 10, 2023.
The JNVST 2024 examination has been divided into two phases. The first examination is scheduled for November 4, 2023, at 11:30 a.m., at multiple locations throughout India. The exam centres are located in Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Sikkim, in addition to the Arunachal Pradesh districts of Dibang Valley and Tawang.
In addition, the examination will be administered in the districts of Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmour, Kullu, Lahaul and Spiti, and Shimla in Himachal Pradesh, Darjeeling in West Bengal, and Leh and Kargil in Ladakh.

How to Register for NVS Class 6 in 2024?
- Visit the official website at navodaya.gov.in in
- On the homepage, select the ‘NVS Class VI registration’ link.
- Complete the registration procedure.
- Complete the JNVST application form, pay the application fee online, and submit the application.
- Download the completed form and print it out for future reference.
Documents needed for Registration in 2024
- Candidate’s signature on the application.
- A parental signature is required.
- Photograph.
- Aadhaar information or a domicile certificate issued by the government.
- The headmaster-verified certificate contains the candidate’s information in the prescribed format.
The second examination is scheduled for 20 January 2024 at 11:30 AM and will be administered in multiple Indian states and union territories. Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh (excluding Dibang Valley and Tawang), Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh (excluding Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmour, Kullu, Lahaul and Spiti, and Shimla) are the locations of the test centres.
In addition, the examination will be administered in certain regions of Jammu and Kashmir (specifically Jammu-I, Jammu-II, Samba, and Udhampur), Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tripura, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal (excluding Darjeeling). It will also take place in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadar and Nagar Haveli, Daman, and Diu, Delhi, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry Union Territories.
