Odisha Phase-II UG admission: Phase II of the admissions procedure for undergraduate courses has begun in the state capital of BHUBANESWAR. The application submission deadline is September 13. The state has over 2.71 million UG seats, but approximately 1.7 million have been filled in the first phase.

On September 22, the Department of higher education will publish provisional allotment of seats and waitlisted applicants in the electronic space of higher education institutions. Between September 22 and September 25, accepted applicants can pay admission fees online through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal.

The applicants will report to their assigned institutions for admission between September 23 and September 26. Then, the round of admissions from the waiting list will commence. To participate in this admission round on September 27 and September 28, waitlisted applicants will submit a common application form (CAF) along with supporting documents on September 27 and September 28.

The candidates can choose any one of the selected institutions by October 5 and accept admission on the very next day at the institute by depositing their admission fees online. The entire phase-II admissions process will conclude on October 7, according to official sources.

Additionally, the Department of higher education has issued guidelines for phase -II admission. Phase-II admission is available to candidates who either did not register during Phase-I admissions or were denied admission during that phase. Applicants who have already been admitted in Phase I will not be considered for admission in Phase II.

The candidates on the waiting list will present the necessary documentation at the designated institutions according to the schedule. Such applicants will not be considered for merit list selection after the deadline, according to department policy.

The state has 2,71,091 seats in 1047 degree-granting institutions. This year, 2,490,000 students applied for undergraduate admission. More than one lakh UG seats remained vacant after four phases of the Phase-I admissions process.
